Carl Anthony Oubre

Carl Anthony Oubre, 66, passed away Wednesday August 31, 2016 in a Baton Rouge Hospital. Native of Donaldsonville, La he was a lifelong resident of Darrow, LA. Mr. Oubre was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, he was a member of the Louisiana Independent Auto Dealers Association (LIADA). He made his career as a wholesale car dealer and worked with many local auto dealerships for 30 plus years.

Mr. Oubre leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Vanessa Jacob Oubre, his sons; Rocky Anthony Oubre and Conrad Joseph Oubre, his sisters; Roxanne V. Skias, Rachelle V. Oubre, Wanda O. Milano, Sandra O. Sotile, Mary Ann Veron and Mary Grace V. Wolcott. Carl also leaves behind 3 special children he considers his grandkids; Abbie and Lillie Sage and Gabe Goodwin. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbert “Dooley” Oubre and Camilla Oubre Veron, step father Edgar J. “Hickey” Veron and his brother Shelby Joseph Oubre.

Visitation will begin Sunday Sept. 4th, at Ourso Funeral Home 5 to 9pm and Monday Sept. 5th at Ourso Funeral Home 8:30am to 10 am at which time we will go in precession to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Fr. Keun-Soo Lee will officiate, burial will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville, LA. The family will have a reception following Mr. Oubre’s burial at St. Anthony’s Church Hall in Darrow.
