

Carlton Simon Castex, 75, of Gonzales, passed away Friday May 5th at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Mr. Castex was born in Lafayette, LA on July 24, 1941 to Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and Mazzie Zeno Castex. Mr. Castex was retired from the US Postal service after 41 years of service as a Mechanic. Mr. Castex was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his loving wife; Gwen Graham Castex, daughter; Margie Vickers (Stuart), sons; Mitchell Comeaux (Michelle), Rome Willis (Rachelle), Robby Willis (Rebecca). Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Castex was preceded in death by his mother; Mazzie Castex, his father; Lawrence Castex, his two daughters; Geralyn White and Bridgette Williams, his two step sons; Mitchell and Michael Comeaux, his sisters; Essie Castex and Ludy Keys and her husband Robert Keys, brothers; Joseph and Lawrence Castex, Jr., his maternal grand-parents; Cora Lee and Aromd Zeno.
Visitation will be Monday May 8th, at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 5 to 9pm and resume in Lafayette, LA on Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 116 East Bluebird Dr, Lafayette
starting at 11am until service time of 1pm, Bishop Brad Hughes will officiate, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery 365 Teurling Dr, Lafayette under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales, LA.
