Catherine Marie LeBlanc Rivere

A native and resident of Sorrento, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in her home at 11:10 am on Saturday, October 7, 2017. She was 69 years old. She loved her family, spending time with her great grandchildren, going to the casino, and putting a smile on the faces of anyone in her presence. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Visitation will resume at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales at 9:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor David Houston. Interment will be at Richardson Cemetery in St. Amant, LA. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Calvin J. Rivere, Sr.; children, Tammy R. Lessard and husband, Joseph, Carlton J. Rivere, Sr. and wife, Michelle, Theresa Rivere and Fiancé, James, Calvert “Cal” Rivere, and Vivian LeBlanc and wife, Lindsey; daughters-in-law, Lisa Rivere and Channa Rivere; sister, Barbara Simoneaux; brother, Calvin J. LeBlanc, Jr. “Junior”; 12 grandchildren, Jonathan Lessard, Sheena Rivere, Tami (Craig) White, Brent Andermann, Jalyn (Troy) Luquette, Samantha Rivere, Carlton Rivere, Jr. (Nicole), David Houston (Ashley), Cade Houston (Alyssa) Blaze Rivere, and Brynn Rivere, along with 24 great-grandchildren that she loved and adored. She is preceded in death by her mother, Vivian LeBlanc; father, Calvin LeBlanc Sr.; oldest son, Calvin “Coonie” J.
