Clyde Anthony Berthelot Sr.

Clyde Anthony Berthelot Sr. a native of Plaquemine and resident of Prairieville, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the age of 83. Clyde is survived by his sons, Clyde Anthony Berthelot, Jr. and wife, Maribeth, and Chris Berthelot and wife, Charlotte; sister, Jeanette Millet and husband, Butsy; brother, Morris Berthelot and wife, Mable; grandchildren, Austin Berthelot, Ryan Berthelot and wife, Nicole, Heather Whitaker and husband, Matt, Blaine Blanchard; great grandchildren, Andon, Allie, and Skylar Berthelot; sister-in –law Mary Berthelot; brothers-in-law, Cyril S. Altazan and Bob Willis; son-in-law, Glynn Blanchard. Clyde is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Berthelot; daughter, Julie Ann Blanchard; parents, Sidney and Emma Settoon Berthelot; brother, L.J. Berthelot. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales. A rosary will be said at 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Fr. Jerry Martin. Interment will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory Memorial Park. Ryan Berthelot, Austin Berthelot, Blaine Blanchard, Michael Ringe, Jeff Ringe, and Matt Whitaker will serve as pallbearers.
