

Court married the love of her life, Colby Higginbotham, on December 31, 2010. The two were together for nearly 20 years and married for nearly 15. She was truly his world.
She attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, later transferring to and graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
A dedicated accountant and bartender for almost 30 years, Courtney was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was a generous soul with an open door for anyone in need. She worked tirelessly and loved fiercely – she was a proud mother, devoted wife, grandmother and a loyal friend.
She was a Proud Bandido OL Lady, perfectly at home on the back of Colby’s motorcycle. She adored her brothers and sisters, and she was cherished in return. She was also deeply involved in Spanish Town Mardi Gras, especially the Spanish Town Ladies Auxiliary, where she gladly stepped into any role where she was needed.
She is survived by her devoted husband, James Colby Higginbotham; her children, Joshua Paul Jannise, Cameron Lidell Jannise, Audrey Josephine Higginbotham, and Quinn Jewel-Anciet Higginbotham; grandson, Cameron Lidell Jannise Jr.; her parents, David and Stacy Cashio; and brothers, David Wayne Cashio Jr. (Dawn) and Benjamin Joseph Cashio (Renee); niece, Sophia Cashio; nephews, Rex Cashio and Trip Cashio and numerous other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nelson and Shirley Doucet; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Cashio and uncles, Paul Doucet and Joseph Cashio Jr.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Broussard, Oscar Williams, John Hampton, Justin Peck, Justin Burmaster, Quincey Brady, Sammy Hymel and Sethan Daigle
Honorary Pallbearers include Derrick Johnson, Kino Fuqua, Joe Chaney, and Eddie Dotson.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU team at Baton Rouge General, especially Dr. Godke, for the compassionate care they provided.
Visitation services will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, located at 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA, 70737. The first visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A second visitation will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Service will begin at 12:00 PM with interment to follow at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Morganza, Louisiana.
