

A resident of Prairieville, he passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015. He was 71. He was born in Brookhaven, MS on October 16, 1944. Curtis graduated from Loyd Star High School in Brookhaven and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of CCA and had retired after 33 years of service as an operator with PCS Nitrogen. He was an avid LSU Baseball fan and loved fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Evelyn Ruth King; daughter, Stacey Leigh King; son, Philip Gary King; sister, Linda Gibson and husband, J.C.; brother, Mike King and wife, Geraldine; and his adoring grandchildren, Patrick and Mallory King.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alpheus and Ruby King.
The family will welcome visitors on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales from 8:30 am until funeral service at 11 am. Burial to follow in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales.
Pallbearers will be Roy deVeer, Paul Melancon, Tommy Brumfield, Joey Brumfield, Richard Gautreau, and Bobby Fortenberry.
