

Maj. David M. Moser USMC (Ret.) age 71, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, and a native of Ladysmith, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He retired from the United States Marine Corps with 28 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Reba Day Moser; children, Carolyn Moser and GySgt Robert “Robbie” Moser USMC (Ret.); step-children, Neely Cointment (Chad), Jessica Bonadona (Jerod), and Joshua Simpson (Jade); grandchildren, Angelique Moser, Elise Peterson, Robbie Moser Jr., Emlyn Moser, and Adalyn Moser; step-grandchildren, Kirsten Shaffer (Wesley), Kadie Babin, Kyndal Babin, Caryn Bonadona, Cameron Bonadona, Alli Simpson, and Lilly Simpson and great step-grandchildren, Kambrie Hebert, Gray Babin, Brayden Smith, and Parker Shaffer; brothers, Tom Moser, and Brad Moser (Diane); brother-in-law, Richard Schultz and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and Marines. He was preceded in death by his father, David Moser; his mother, Marlene Baxter; sister, Judy Schultz and brother, Brian Kratsch. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 5 PM till 8 PM at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA, and will resume on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 9 AM till the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 15208 LA-73, Prairieville, LA. He will be laid to rest at Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA.
