Denise "Dean" Triche Young

Denise T. “Dean” Young passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 89. She was a resident of Bay St. Louis for 46 years and was currently residing in Prairieville, LA for the last 6 years. She was born in New Orleans, LA on January 7, 1934 to the late Lucien Triche and Anna Caufield T. DiCarlo. She is preceded in death by her loving husband John M. Young, Sr., her sons; Wayne, Glenn and Allen Young and her sister Leah Heidel. She is survived by her daughter Sheila Y. Battaglia (Sam), her son John M. Young, Jr. (the late Pam), four grandchildren; Sam Battaglia, Jr. (Ashley), Brad Battaglia (Laura), Shelly Battaglia and Lisa Y. Gonlag (Henry), 11 great-grandchildren Kaylie, Sammy, Luca, Sophia, Vincent, Gracie, Logan, Preslie, Nolan, Madalyn and Malaina and two great-great grandchildren Aubreigh and Aliyah. She is also survived by her sister Cheryl Blanchard and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Denise always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. She never met a stranger, just a friend she had not met yet. Her warm smile will be greatly missed by everybody who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Denise's life on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
