He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Danette "Dee Dee" Kendrick Gautreau; children, Damon Gautreau (Alicia), Dustin Gautreau (Amanda), Devin Gautreau (Mandy), and DeShea Ducote (Matthew); sisters, Bonnie Poirrier (Herman), Pauline Barnett (Elgene); brother, Gary Gautreau (Dara); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jackie Gautreau, Vernon Acaldo, Troy Kendrick (Becky), and Carroll Kendrick. 9 grandchildren, Macee Delaune (Collin), Kamryn Hoyt, Gabe Gautreau, Raelynn Gautreau, Dagan Gautreau, Maverick Gautreau, Sawyer Ducote, Saylor Ducote, Suttyn Ducote; and 1 great grandson, Asher Delaune. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald "Duck" and Nettie Gautreau; brother, Irvin Gautreau; sister, Susan Acaldo; niece, Julie Jones; mother-in-law, Anita Landry; father-in-law, Ronnie Kendrick; and brother-in-law, Dane Kendrick.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 5 PM till 8 PM at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA. Visiting will resume on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church 42021 LA-621, Gonzales, LA. He will be laid to rest at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum, 44450 LA-429, St Amant, LA. Serving as pallbearers will be Gabe Gautreau, Jody Gautreau, Tyson Barnett, Gary Paul Gautreau, Jordy Gautreau, Carey Poirrier. Honorary pallbearers are Dagan Gautreau and Maverick Gautreau.
