

Funeral Services will be held for Dorothy “Ms. Dot” Perrin Bennett on Saturday, August 1, 2015, 12:00 pm, at Jefferson Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Visitation will take place on Saturday morning starting at 10:00 am and continuing until service time at noon. Mrs. Bennett was born on June 4, 1930 and passed away at 12:35 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She was 85. Mrs. Bennett was devoted to her church, Jefferson Baptist Church, where she selflessly gave so much of herself to the Young at Heart organization and countless other church activities and events. She had been a member of the church for many years and formerly served as the church clerk. In addition, she loved to crochet and acquire Avon collectibles. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband, Eddie Bennett; daughter, Terri Bennett Wheat and Ron; sons, Michael Bennett and Teresa, Guy Bennett and Carla; grandsons, Justin Wheat, Josh Wheat and Yna; brother, Ernest Perrin, Jr and Joan and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Perrin, Sr. and Delma Smith Perrin. Ken Alexander, Jim Doss, Bruce Lilly, Ron Willett, Robert Cotten and Toliver Bozeman, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
