Dorothy Jean Strait

A loving and devoted mother, daughter and sister, she passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 19, 2015. She was 29 and a resident of Prairieville, LA. She was born on September 10, 1985 in Cleveland, MS. Dottie was a Safety Coordinator with Western Rivers Boat Management.

She is survived by her children, Cassidy Ann Nicole Beathard, Katelyn Chyenne Beathard and Nathan Anthony Gueldner all of Prairieville, LA; mother, Patty Hockett Stevens of Indianapolis, IN; father, William Earl Strait and his wife, Nelda of Prairieville, LA; sisters, Shae Strait Murphey (Victor) of Toone, TN and Brandy Strait Lindsey (Brian) of Hickory Valley, TN; and brothers, William Earl Strait, II (April), Jody Hilliard, and Bruce Hilliard all of Prairieville, LA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lewis and Dorothy Imogene Strait and Orville and Dorothy Hockett.

Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, July 22 from 3 pm to 7 pm. There will funeral services in Cleveland, MS on Friday, July 24 at Ray Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Beulah Cemetery, Beulah, MS.
