With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Dustin Reid Bagwell on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at the age of 50. Dustin was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and a treasured member of our community. Born on April 18, 1974, Dustin's life was a beacon of faith, generosity, and kindness. His sense of humor, dedication to family, and unwavering support for friends were only surpassed by the warmth of his smile, which could light up any room he entered. A proud graduate of the University of Mississippi and Cumberland Law School, Dustin began his career as a successful attorney, but his heart led him to a higher calling. Leaving the legal field, he dedicated his life to mentoring the youth of Ascension Parish, guiding them in their faith and life journeys at Ascension Christian School. As a devoted husband to Nathalie Savoy and a loving father to his twin daughters, Grace and Emma, Dustin embodied selflessness, wisdom, and a deep commitment to those he loved. Dustin leaves behind his wife Nathalie, his daughters Grace and Emma, his parents Mike and Midge Bagwell, and Helen C. Crawford, his brothers Michael, Christopher, Brett, and Blake, his nephew/godson Ethan, and in-laws John and Judy Savoy, along with many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service to celebrate Dustin's life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Household of Faith Church Airline Campus in Gonzales La. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm and the funeral service will be at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Ascension Christian School or Discovery Weekends (Discoveryweekends.org) in Dustin's honor, ensuring that his legacy of love, faith, and service continues to touch lives for years to come.
