

A resident of Gonzales, Edith passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the age of 93. Edith was born in Roosevelt, MN on August 7, 1921 and lived the majority of her life in New Roads, LA and Pine River, MN .She was a retired accountant with Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. Edith was an amateur radio operator with the call sign K5WKK and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in New Roads.
She is survived by her sons, Nicky Babineau and wife Kay of Denham Springs and Edward “Eddie” Boeker and wife Jacqueline of St. Amant; sisters, Ester Stenberg (Jerry) of Faribaut, MN, Ruby Swanson (Lavern) of Ellisworth, WI, and Edell Stern and the late Jim Stern, of Mountain View, CA; grandchildren, Kim Perkins (Brad) of Walker, Robbie Babineau (Amy) of Denham Springs, Edward “Delane” Boeker (Camile) of Sanford, NC, and Barrett Boeker (Aurielle) of Angola, LA; and great grandchildren, twins, Charley and Caleb Babineau, Jacob, Hanna, Graham, and Opal Boeker.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Babineau, Edward L Boeker and Larry Pearson; parents, Elmer and Ella Carlson; twin sister, Ethel Gwinn; sister, Ruthe Harder; and brother, Robert “Bobbie” Carlson.
Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 9:30 am until services at 11:30 am. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday in False River Memorial Park, New Roads.
