Elise LeBlanc, a native of White Castle and resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 99. Elise was a very giving and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. To all who knew her, received her warm and comforting hugs. After raising her family, Elise entered the nursing field once again as a RN working at Ascension Hospital as well as Prevost Hospital. Elise assisted the local director of The March of Dimes in organizing fundraising events. Elise was a Catechism teacher at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church and did volunteer work with the Council on Aging. Elise is survived by her daughters, June Acosta and Louise Long; sons, Michael and Ralph LeBlanc. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Willie A. LeBlanc Jr.; parents, John and Helen Bourgeois. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memories Mausoleum. Marshall Kerm McClendon, Terry Acosta, Dylan Brock, Dawson Brock will serve as pallbearers.
