Esperanza "Hope" Simmons

Esperanza “Hope” Simmons went to be with her heavenly father on August 3, 2022 after 91 beautiful years on earth. She is preceded in death by her husband Harley Von Simmons, her parents Manuel Martinez and Consuelo Bustos Martinez and her five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her children; Margie Williams, Richard Simmons (Agnes) and Don Simmons (Christine). She was the very proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by her brothers Chago Martinez and Steven Martinez.

Hope enjoyed taking trips to the local stores and visiting with all of her little friends. She loved going into town to eat at the Mexican restaurant, Piccadilly’s and a good Whopper. She adored her family and always did her best to take care of them all. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, they always brought a smile to her face. She will be greatly missed by all.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 22502 LA-22, Maurepas, LA 70449, on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11AM. The visitation will begin that morning at 9AM. The burial will follow at Whitehall Community Cemetery.
