A native of Houma, La., a resident of St. Amant and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at his residence in St. Amant at the age of 89. He was a retired supervisor for Kaiser Aluminum, a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in WW II and also served in the Photo Squad. Visitation will be held at Head of Island Baptist Church on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Head of Island Baptist Church from 9:00 am until religious services at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Leon Carpenter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Lessard of St. Amant, 1 son, Kenneth Hebert of Picayune, Ms., 1 sister, Margie, 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Katie-Kay, Jew-Jew, Trent, Nathaniel, 7 additional grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife: Ramona Marie Theriot Hebert, parents: John and Sedonia Thibodaux Hebert, 3 daughters: Judy, Penny and Joann Hebert and infant son: James Hebert.
