Evelyn Schissel Louque

Evie was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends and riding her golf cart around the neighborhood visiting with neighbors.

She is survived by her children, Trudy Denoux (Kenny), Michelle Genre (Todd), and Dawson Rodriguez Jr. (Rhea); her significant other, Daniel Vidrine; her grandchildren, Albert Denoux (Jamie), Justin Denoux (Lauren), Sydney Toomer (Alex), Landon Gauthreaux (Evie), Jacob Gauthreaux, Alex Rodriguez (Deann), Aaron Rodriguez (Kayla), and Ashlee Hall (Zach); as well as 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Yvonne Martello, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nora Gomez Schissel; her sisters, Frances Duke and Vivian Cook; and one great-grandchild, Oliver Denoux.

Evie was a member of Tabernacle Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

She will be remembered by those who knew her, and her life leaves behind many shared memories.

A private ceremony will be held by the family.
