Francis was born January 22, 1971 in Colorado Springs, CO but lived most of his life in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area. He was a graduate of Tara High School where he enjoyed playing football. He also attended college at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux and the University of LA at Lafayette where he was an active member of Theta Xi Fraternity. Francis enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and taking care of his Koi fish pond.
He is survived by his parents Aurora and Zbigniew Cypel, a sister Lisa Cypel Yablonsky and husband Chris, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins,
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jozef and Stanislawa Bobko Cypel, Julio and America Orellana.
