Franklin "Frank" Blakeman

Frank passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in Gonzales at the age of 83. Frank was a native of Morgan City and a resident of Gonzales. Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corp. serving 6 years as active duty and 2 years as a Reserve being Honorably Discharged February 15, 1962. He is survived by his wife Euna Guillory Blakeman, 1 daughter and son-in-law: Estelle Figueredo (Manny), 3 sons and 3 daughters-in-law: Kirk Blakeman (Kathy), Mark Blakeman (Cindy) and Chris Blakeman (Michele), 1 sister and brother-in-law: Romana Crochet (Anthony), 1 brother: Timothy Blakeman, 10 grandchildren: Paige and Frank, Brook, Nikki and Daniel, Justin and Lauren, Alendes and Katelynne, Ben and Chelsea, Tyler and Angelle, Katelynne and Cody, Jesse and Emily. 9 great grandchildren: Mya, Mylee, Malia, Mariana, Loralei, Arabella, Melody, Elaina, Henley and 2 more expected in August and November of this year. Frank was preceded in death by his father and mother: Jesse A. and Annie Louise Jackson Blakeman, 4 brothers: Aamorn, James, Joseph and Jesse, 1 sister: Wyndova Domangue, 2 brothers-in-law: Camile Domangue, Bewford Guillory, 5 sisters-in-law: Thelma, Elouise, Alberta, Dolores and Nat. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Gonzales Baptist Temple on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM celebrated by Bro. John Edwards. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy. 30, Gonzales, LA. Serving as pallbearers for Frank will be Justin Blakeman, Alendes Figueredo, Ben Blakeman, Tyler Blakeman, Daniel Henderson, Frank Lowry and Javier Torres. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Aguillard and staff for many years of caring and taking care of their loved one, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Pinnacle Home Health Staff and nurses and also Pinnacle Hospice Nurses and Staff.
