A loving mother and wife and a devoted Christian, she passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the age of 84. She was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Prairieville. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry W. Jordan; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Donna Talley; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie and Aaron Rawles, and Sylvia Talley; brother and sister-in-law, Charles R. and Tosh Beard; grandchildren, Kyle Jones, Blake Talley, Michael Pounds, Danica Pounds, Steven Mulina, David Mulina, Kristy Theriot and Brandy Mitchell; and great-grandchildren, Tobi Talley, Wyatt Talley, Grace Jones, Alexis, Destaine, Ethan, Logan, Nevaeh and Audrey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Rosa Dunaway Beard; brothers, Hilton, Hubert and Haverton Beard; sister, Cybil Beard; and grandson, Jeron Talley. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, May 13, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Dr. James B. Law.
