Gladys Hodgeson Stafford, a native and resident of Galvez, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at The Carpenter’s House on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the age of 95. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and going eat out with her family. She is survived by her sons, Earl Wayne Stafford and wife, Sue, and Lynn Earl Stafford and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Dana Rushing and husband, Mark, Tammie Picou and husband, Sandy, Sherry Martine and husband, Keith, Clevey Stafford, Josh Stafford and wife Elisabeth, Lynde Sandifer and husband, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Shawn and Shay Rushing, Kelsi and Mckenzie Martine, Gage, Presley, and Angelina Stafford, Breelyn Voivedich, Cooper, Reese, Hayden, and Zach Sandifer; special niece, Kathy Stein. Gladys is preceded in death by her first husband of 60 years, Earl Stafford; second husband of 9 years, Glen D. Williams; parents, Cleveland and Bertha Hodgeson; sisters, Alina Heath and Dallas Bellue. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 9:30 am until Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery. Shawn Rushing, Clevey Stafford, Josh Stafford, Matthew Sandifer, Hayden Sandifer, Zach Sandifer, and Gage Stafford will serve as pallbearers. Gerald Williams, Larry Williams, Mark Rushing, Sandy Picou, and Keith Martine will serve as honorary pallbearers.
