Dad,
I miss you… I didn’t always have you in my life but you have always been in my heart.  It’s funny cause those who didn’t know I didn’t grow up with you around would’ve never known.  We had a bond like no other.  It’s was as if we were always close.  I am very blessed that my children were able to meet their PAWPAW, because you are a BIG part of me.  I know that I take after you in more ways than I can even explain.  The picture should tell all (lol)  I always cherished our time we have had together when you would come visit us in California.  I will hold onto those memories forever.  I love you dad!  Tell my Grandpa & Grandma Winnie I love them!

Rest In Peace Daddy.  Go be with Grandma Winnie, Paw Paw Fuzz, Uncle Wareen and my God Father, David.  We love you and will miss you.  Oh, and tell my Mom (Joanie) hello and that I miss her terribly.  May God Grant you eternal peace.

Hugh Gordon was my classmate at St. Edmunds at Eunice, LA. He was my “pulling guard” on our football team and as a linebacker I spent a lot of time holding on to his backside! Hugh was one of the good guys. Never controversial. Always with a smile while most of us were brooding teenagers. I used to go to his house on the Basil Road and we would hunt in the woods behind his house with pellet guns. The most interesting thing about Hugh and me is that we shared the first girlfriend that either one of us ever had (Kathy McDowell) but never had a problem with it. That was Hugh Gordon. He left us too soon. I wish I had stayed in touch with him over the years. I would have learned a lot from him. 


I am so saddened by the loss of Hugh. We were in high school together and there were not many of us, so we all were pretty close. Hugh was such a handsome, sweet and fun guy. I have enjoyed seeing him through the years at our class reunions. I pray that he is at peace with our Lord. My prayers and condolences go out to his family. I know he will be missed.

I haven’t known you a life time like I would have liked to, but the years I did get with you are a blessing
You watched me graduate high school. 
You met one of my kids and I sure wish you were still here to meet my other two. One thing I have learned in the last couple days is life is way to short to be unhappy. Life is way to short to think about tomorrow. Think about today and cherish what you have. Even if that means you gotta pick up the phone and make that call/ text. I know relationship goes both ways but you never know what somebody is really goin through. I love you papa

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.  We will sadly miss Hugh, but we will always carry him and precious memories in our hearts.  What a true and cherished friend!  We loved “passin’ a good time” with you both at Bear Creek Hunting Club.  
May you be comforted by the Lord’s promise of everlasting life with Him in Heaven.  After all, this is not “goodbye”;  this is “see you later”.

It does not seem possible that he has passed.

Hugh was one of the biggest kind hearted men that I know. From the time I was 12or so, Hugh always looked out for me and taught me a lot throughout that time. I always called him uncle. After I left the hunting club in 04, I always went by his camp first when I would visit. He always welcomed me in and we would sit for hours telling hunting and Army stories. Aunt Pam would always ask for a rabbit and I would trade rabbits for some homemade biscuits. Him and I tried to sit in a deer stand together one day but we couldn’t stop laughing and cutting up so we gave up. He was a huge impact on me. I’m gonna miss you big fella. Till Valhalla my brother. Love you uncle Hugh.
