James Richard Daigle 70, passed away August 23, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Mr. Daigle was a native of Church Point and a resident of Baton Rouge for many years. He had a Masters Degree from LSU and was employed by LSU for more than 40 years. Mr. Daigle was an avid thoroughbred horseman, and those that knew him knew that this was his passion.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marie Latiolais Daigle, his daughter, Madeana & husband Barry Hatcher, his son Jason & wife Jenny Daigle, his mother Selise Matte Daigle, his sisters Sharon Privat and Debbie Stelzer, his brothers, Pat, Clay, and Paul Daigle, his grandchildren Cole and Jesse Hatcher, Allie and Luke Daigle. Mr. Daigle is preceded in death by his father Joseph Russell Daigle.
Visitation will be Monday August 29th at Ourso Funeral Home 9 to 11 am with his memorial service at 11am in the funeral home chapel, Fr. Phil Spano will officiate.
