Jan Marie Waggenspack

A native of Darrow and resident of Gonzales, Jan Marie Waggenspack passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 60. She graduated from Ascension Catholic High School and Larry’s Beauty College. She was a past secretary of the Darrow Water Board and a retired employee with 28 years of service from Wal-Mart in Gonzales. She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law, James Waggenspack, Lee and Alice Waggenspack of Darrow, and Paul Waggenspack of Gonzales; nephews, Scott and Teresa Waggenspack, Kevin and Samantha Waggenspack, Christopher Waggenspack; nieces Katie and Susan Waggenspack, Kimberly Laiche; and her great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Ann Melancon Waggenspack; sister, Judy Waggenspack Aucoin; and sister-in-law, Ann Gadel Waggenspack. There will be a visitation at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Darrow, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Scott, Christopher, and Kevin Waggenspack, Matthew Stevens, Michael Kimball, Shawn Martine, and Dickie Cawvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Waggenspack, Charlie Stevens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
