

A native of Slidell and resident of Dutchtown, she passed away Friday, August 9, 2013, at the age of 79. Jeanette was a member of the St. John Altar Society and the Ladies VFW Auxillary. She was retired from the Louisiana State Archives. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Kling Babin and Steve, Debra Kling Amedee and Carl; sons and a daughter-in-law, Carey Paul Kling, Jeffrey Lynn Kling and Donna; sisters, Marie Braud, Lillie Frederic; brothers, Virgil Ray, Henry Ray, Howard Ray; grandchildren, Nicole Keiley, Lance Amedee, Alana Boudreaux, Brandon Kling, Brittney Kling, Morgan Kling, Megan Kling; and great grandchildren, Peyton Keiley, Gabe Keiley, Cole Keiley, Dylan Amedee, Alexander Amedee, Grace Amedee, Will Boudreaux, Wes Boudreaux, Averie Kling. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander P. Kling Jr.; parents, Henry M. Ray and Earlene Cambre Ray; and brothers, Manuel Ray, Gene Ray. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday, August 12, 2013, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Gyan celebrant. Entombment will be in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lance Amedee, Chad Ray, Randy Frederic , Brandon Kling, Darren Braud, and Chad Melancon.
