Joann K. Parker

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018, 11:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home for Joann K. Parker. Mrs. Parker, resident of Gonzales, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at her residence. She was 81 years old. Joann was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devout Christian and was dedicated to her faith and her church which she loved. She always stayed active volunteering at her church (New Covington Baptist Church of Denham Springs), reading the Bible, knitting and spending time with her beloved family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Parker is survived by her son, Gerald Lee Thomas, Jr. and wife Kimberly Ingram; daughter, Lori Ann Thomas; step-daughter, Judy Rankine and husband Rex; grandchildren, Ian Thomas, Kaileigh Thomas, Shannon Chauvin and husband Brandon, Shane Ingram and wife Nicole, Christina Rankine; great-grandchildren, Evey Thomas, Patton Chauvin; brother, Billy Boyt and wife Jean. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Edward Thomas; husband, Roy Parker; brother, Bobby Boyt and parents, Albert and Georgia Knight.
