John E. Horton Jr., A retired Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy and a resident of Gonzales, La. passed away on October 28, 2021 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jane Farris Horton; daughter, Kay Horton Valentin and husband William; son, Jay Horton and wife Sherri; 2 grandchildren, Jordyn Guitreau and husband Dane and Jade Horton; 1 great grandson, Hudson John Guitreau and brother, Ben Horton of Vicksburg, Ms. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bobbie McCaskill Horton. Visitation will be held on October 30, 2021 from 9 am until funeral at 11 am at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La. Burial will be at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, Prairieville, La. Pallbearers will be Mark Roussel, Troy Lavigne, Carl Bell, Dane Guitreau, Raymond Liotta, Lloyd Johnson and Honorary Pallbearers will be William Valentin, Henry Green and Wilson Johnson. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales La.
