

"Let not your heart be troubled..." After a short and fearless battle with pancreatic cancer, Johnny entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2017 at 4:35am, at his home in Gonzales. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Debbie, and his 5 children and 7 grandchildren: Jodi Ramirez Sheets and husband Cade and their children: Claire, Camille, and Caylee; Jason and Stephanie Ramirez; Jessica Ramirez Bailey and husband McKinley and their children: Kamryn and Kelsey; Whitney Davis Hoffmann and husband Drew and their son Foster; Joshua Ramirez, and daughter-in-law Therese Ramirez Alexander and son John Mark Ramirez III. He is also survived by his siblings: Will, Don, Jerry, Dodie, Ralph and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Hortense LeBlanc Ramirez; son John Mark Ramirez Jr "Little Johnny"; siblings: Heather "Hortense", Patsy, Paul, and Robert. Johnny loved and served his community through his work as police juror and alderman for the city of Gonzales, was the owner of Johnny's Male Shop, and was a salesman for Picou Brothers Construction for 20+ years. Visitation will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 9-11am immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial, and laid to rest at Hope Haven Cemetery.
