Johnny "Man" Anthony Marchand Jr.

Johnny “Man” Marchand, Jr., 47, of Gonzales passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at "The Carpenter House" with his family by his side after a short battle with liver cancer. Johnny was a volunteer with the Little Angels Foundation which provides caskets to families at no charge in the event of the loss of a child.

Survivors include his wife; Lynn Retif Marchand, his sons Blain Marchand and fiance’ Ashley, Bryce Marchand and girlfriend Falon, Boyd and Kristin Marchand, daughters; Bailey and Brylie Marchand and grandchild Emma Marchand. His parents Johnny A. Marchand, Sr., Mother Margie Cedotal and husband Caroll. His sister; Lettie Marchand and friend Wade Carpenter.

Preceded in death by his grandparents; Elbert Ellisor and Ruby R. Ellisor and Lawrence and Lonie Marchand. Johnny was looking forward to his 3 new grandchildren that will be arriving sometime this year.

Pallbearers include; Bailey, Brylie, Blain, Bryce, Boyd Marchand and brother-n-law Joey Retif.

Visitation will start on Wednesday February 22 from 5 to 9pm and from 9:30 to 11 am on Thursday February 23 with his funeral service at 11am, Pastor Kirk Jones will officiate, in Ourso Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Serenity Oaks Cemetery in Prairieville, LA. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carpenter House of Baton Rouge for their loving care they showed Johnny.
