Larry Burch

Larry Burch, a longtime resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 68 after brief illness. He is survived by his son Jared Burch (Tiffany), 3 grandchildren Grason, Ridge and Blayke and sister Terri Burch (Bonnie). He is also survived by his nieces; Angie Lee (Shane), Brandi Stafford (Frankie Schmitt) and Jamie Baker (Cody) and numerous extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Viola and Johnny Burch, his brother Shelton Ray Stafford Jr. and his grandparents Corbet & Olympe Diez and Mac & Laura Burch.

Larry was always a hardworking man and enjoyed the simple life. Larry enjoyed all aspects of rodeo and the cowboy way. He traveled to rodeos all over the south and rode bulls for 20 years. He was a mechanic, always working on his many vehicles; mainly Toyotas for his business. The travel and driving didn’t stop. He worked for Pony Express, USPS and had his own courier service. He enjoyed watching horse racing, NASCAR, baseball and football. In the last few years he loved watching his grandkids play baseball and wouldn’t miss a game if he could help it.

He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11AM at Ourso Funeral Home , 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737, the visitation will begin at 9AM. A burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Galvez, LA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in his memory.
