Larry Templet

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Cherie Bourque Templet; his children, Melissa Friday (Mike), Jamie Lanoux (Shannon), Shayne Templet (Heather) and Carey Melancon (Haley); 9 grandchildren, Joleigh Hartman, Christina Maxwell (Alex), Jordan Hartman (fiancé Payton Braud), Dillon Friday, Morgan Templet, Lathan Melancon, Chandler Templet, Logan Melancon, and Will Templet; and 1 great grandchild, Sylvie Maxwell. He is also survived by his brothers, Perry Templet (Judy), Kevin Templet (Laurie); and sisters Vickie Edmonston (Troy) and Diane Templet; and sisters-in-law Becky Petite (Blaine), Kristi Granier (Leslie) and Michelle Bourque and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Lois Templet, brother Kenny Templet, sister Janet Fontenot, niece Melanie Fontenot, in-laws Myles and Frances Bourque, and brother-in-law Myles Bourque Jr.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 LA Hwy 429 St. Amant, LA 70774. The visitation will begin at 9 AM with Mass to start at 11 AM. Followed by burial at Cornerview Cemetery, 1214 E. Cornerview St., Gonzales, LA 70737.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shayne Templet, Carey Melancon, Shannon Lanoux, Mike Friday, Dillon Friday, and Lathan Melancon. Honorary pallbearers, Perry Templet Jr, Joey Fontenot, Derek Edmonston, Blaine Petite, Corey Bourque.
