Lionel Joseph Gautreaux

Lionel J. Gautreaux, 89, resident of Gonzales, LA born January 21, 1927 passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by family and friends. He was the son of Sylvanie Gautreaux and Telcide Bercegeay Gautreaux. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Bobbye Braud Gautreaux daughter Carolyn Loupe, 3 sons Glenn Gautreaux and wife Carol, Jerry Gautreaux and wife Denise, Neal Gautreaux and wife Melissa; brother Vernon Gautreaux and wife Mary Ann; sister Audrey Gautreaux Braud and husband Edward Braud III; sister-in-law Betty Gautreaux; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Sylvanie and Telcide Gautreaux; 2 brother Darnell Gautreaux and wife Lilly; Lavern Gautreaux. Lionel was a retired machinist of 39 years with Exxon of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume at St. Mark Catholic Church Activity Center on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, interment to follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery.
