Malvin Malcolm Smith Jr.

Malcolm was a native of Columbia, LA and resident of Prairieville, La, he passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at the age of 60. Malcolm enjoyed saltwater fishing, hunting, and most of all, spoiling his grandchildren. Malcolm is survived by his father, Malvin Malcolm Smith, Sr.; daughters, Mollie Johnson and husband, Leigh, Mandi Johnston and husband, Mitchell; sons, Malcolm Smith III and wife, Sheri, Matthew Smith and wife, Anna; sister, Karen Bellah; grandchildren, Madison, Kaitlyn, and Hailey Smith, Mitchell Johnston III. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maurine Smith and sister, Deborah Smith. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2015 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 10:00 am until a Celebration Service at 12:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memories Cemetery on Hwy 30 in Gonzales. Malcolm Smith III, Matthew Smith, Leigh Johnson, Mitchell Johnston, Mike Nassar, David Feduccia, and Whalen Plauche will serve as pallbearers.
