

Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Herman Warthen Jr.; her sons, Henry Warthen III and Bill Warthen; and her six brothers, Charlie (Eunice), Bill (Shirley), George (Helen), L.J. (Barbara), Henry (Tennie), and Eddie (Pat).
She is survived by her devoted loving son, Eric Warthen, and daughter-in-law, Andrea Warthen.
She was the proud and cherished maw maw of Travis & Kate Warthen, Joshua & Cheyenne Warthen, Ashley & Jeff Smith, Misty Warthen, and Casey & Theresa Warthen. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren David & Marissa, Justin, Landon, Alex, Bryce, Layne, Carter, Carly, and Lincoln, as well as her great-great-grandchildren Austyn, Dawson, Rogue, and Cosie.
Margie grew up on Bayou Paul Road and carried the values of family, kindness, and generosity throughout her entire life. Known for her generous spirit, warm smile, and loving heart, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She especially enjoyed her 50 years of bowling, where she formed lifelong friendships and countless happy memories. Her love for family, antiques, flea markets, and time spent with loved ones made her truly one of a kind.
Margie will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched, but her memory and the love she shared will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Visitation starting at 9:00am and service starting at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Travis Warthen, Joshua Warthen, Casey Warthen, Alex Warthen, Bryce Warthen, Justin Smith, and Layne Moore.
