Mark Eric Waggenspack, 71, a native of Baton Rouge, LA, and a resident of Gonzales, LA, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge. After high school Mark began his career as a draftsman at Shell Chemical and retired after 30+ years. He was the founder and co-owner of Waggenspack Guns in Gonzales. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for camping and woodworking. He was a teacher of relationships, family togetherness, and anything DIY handiwork. He truly loved his family and spending quality time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linden Waggenspack and Marie Decareaux Waggenspack; his sister, Viki Waggenspack; his granddaughter, Anah Little; and nephew, Keith McMurray. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Beverly Lewis Waggenspack; children, Eric (Shea) Waggenspack, Chase (Sabrina) Waggenspack, Danny Waggenspack, Wendy (Ben) Little, Jason (Shannon) Duncan, and Misty Duncan; grandchildren, Erica (Michael) Pellerin, Austin (Autumn) Waggenspack, Brittany (Trent) Bonaventure, Ryan (Melina) Bartley, Lauren Bartley, Jason “JJ” Duncan Jr., James Duncan, Ethan Duncan, Angele Little, and Alexander Little; great grandchildren, Addyson Pellerin and Brayden Pellerin; siblings, Shirlee (Kenny) Smiley, Dawn (Ralph) Rivet, Lori Scott, Lenny (Debbie) Waggenspack, and Janie Babin; and all his nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA., on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5pm-7pm. A service will follow at Ourso Funeral Home at 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family ask that all donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Mark.
