Mary Lee Soles King age 72, a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Amant for 19 years passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at 4:55 pm at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. She was an adjudicator for the U.S. Veterans Administration. Visiting will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a rite of Christian service at 7:00 pm conducted by Deacon Jimmy Little followed by cremation. She is survived by her husband: Gariel "Bud" King of St. Amant, 1 daughter: Michelle Ann King of Gonzales, 1 brother: Orlice "Butch" M. Soles, Jr. of French Settlement, 2 granddaughters:Christy Lynn M. Kennedy & Kayla M. Kennedy, 1 grandson: Charles "Man" H. Collins. She was a Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile and the Founder of the N'awlins Klownettes. She is preceded in death by her parents: Orlice M.,Sr. & Loretta Marsala Soles.
