It is with great sadness that the family of Matthew Woodrow Redmond announces his sudden passing on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 25. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 5:00pm until 9:00pm and resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, officiated by Fr. Jerry Martin. Entombment to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum, St. Amant. Matthew will forever be remembered by his mother Margaret, father Frank and brother Collin. Matthew will also be missed by his grandparents, Zane and Cynthia Glaze, Woodrow and Margaret Redmond, Bobby and Marietta Messer and Tony Bond. Matthew will be remembered fondly by his many friends, extended family and girlfriend Lillie Mason. Matthew worked at Eatel and his many friends there who cared for him have been a comfort to his family during this time. Matthew touched the lives of so many people.
