A native and resident of Gonzales, he passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 50 years old and a retired process operator for Melamine Chemical Plant.
He is survived by three daughters, Chelsea, Danielle, and Nikki Martinez; son, Erik Martinez; brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Kathy Martinez; and three grandchildren, Tucker, Madison, and Carter.
Preceded in death by his parents, Arnold “Cop Cop” and Bertha Vaughn Martinez; grandmother, Rose Hernandez, and a sister, Lisa Melancon.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m., conducted by Deacon Sam Sammartino. Entombment will follow in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum.
