

Mildred spent her life showering love to all those around her. She didn’t just give her time; she gave her heart. Her home was a place of warmth, where love was freely given, and her unwavering faith was quietly lived out through her actions. She found joy in serving others, whether through her church, her friendships, or her family. Her words carried encouragement, and her presence brought peace. She is lovingly remembered through her deep trust placed in God’s plan. Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
Mildred found joy in caring for her younger sister, was actively involved in the everyday lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she was equally known for her passion as an avid sports fan.
Mildred was a founding and faithful member of the St. Jude Catholic church.
Mildred is survived by her cherished children, Rob Simon, Nancy Simon, Andy (Stacy) Simon, Patti (Frank) Butler, sister, Helen Torres, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Bob Simon, her parents, Otis and Helen Torres and 8 siblings.
Services will be at St Jude Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Rd. Baton Rouge, La. Thursday, April 16, 2026, Visitation 9:30-11:00, Mass at 11:00. Burial to follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory.
