Nettie Marie LeBlanc Melancon

Nettie Marie LeBlanc Melancon age 85 died on Tuesday April 23, 2013 in Gonzales, LA. She was a native and a resident of Sorrento, LA and a retired cafeteria worker with the Ascension Parish School Board. Visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sorrento, LA on Thursday April 25, 2013 from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Rev. Michael Galea. Entombment will follow at the Hope Haven Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gonzales, LA. She is survived by 1 Daughter and son-in-law Dona and Cotton Ernest of Maurepas, La., 1 Son- John Garland Melancon of Kenner, La., 1 Brother- Nolan LeBlanc of Sorrento, La. 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren, and a special friend- Mrs. Billie ""Boss"" Mire. She was preceded in death by her Husband- Miller Joseph "Charlie" Melancon, Parents- Noel and Blanche L. LeBlanc, 1 Brother- Honore LeBlanc, and 2 Special Friends- Ethel Vicknair and Nucy Kling both of Sorrento, La. Pallbearers will be Mark Andermann, Jed LeBlanc, Nolan LeBlanc, Cotton Ernest, Jeremy Villar and Mike Frederic. Mrs. Nettie was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church Ladies Altar Society and loved to travel with her two special friends. She also loved to crochet and make afghans.
