

Paul Michael Mumford, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the age of 38. Paul was a loving father, son and brother, who enjoyed spending time with his family. He always looked forward to family gatherings and cherished his family’s holiday traditions. Paul was a strong Christian man who led many others to Christ through his faith. He took delight in grilling, tinkering with electronics, and having his Starbucks iced coffee every day. The love of his life was his son, Andrew. Some of their favorite activities together were fishing, riding go-carts, playing putt-putt, throwing the football, playing video games, and lighting fireworks on New Year’s Eve. For many years, Paul was employed as a skilled fire and security technician. He is survived by his son, Andrew Paul Mumford; former spouse, Joy Mumford; parents, Kenny and Nancy Mumford; brothers, Stephen Mumford and wife, Andrea, and Mark Mumford and wife, Harper; grandparents, Bill and Remona Mumford; nieces and nephews, Will, Alex, Sawyer, Blythe, and Veda Mumford and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Caroline Morgan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1022 N. Burnside, Gonzales, LA from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery in Metairie, LA.
