

Paul F. Trabeau, 84, passed away at his home on November 5, 2015. A lifelong resident of Sorrento, Louisiana, he was born there on December 29, 1930, to Armand and Ida Gautreaux Trabeau. He was the youngest of five sons - Woodrow (Woody), Wilbert (Kachew), Felman (Shing), and Whitney (Pony). Paul served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1951 serving in the Korean War on the USS Rochester from 1950-1951. After 32 years traveling the country as a truck driver, he retired in 1995 from Younger Brothers. A member of St. Anne Catholic Church, he served as an Usher and worked part-time at the church in maintenance. He enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. Paul was a devoted husband to Dora Dupuy Trabeau, of Whitehall, Louisiana, for 61 years. His parents and four brothers precede him in death. He is survived by his three children - Pam Boudreaux and husband Tim, Chayland Trabeau and wife Susie, Paula Patty and husband Bill; his grandchildren - Spencer Boudreaux, Brandt Boudreaux, Maddie Boudreaux O’Rourke, Quinn Trabeau, Erin Trabeau Bowling, Brent Duplessis, Trey Hall, Leslie Duplessis Boudreaux, Billy Patty, Brandon Patty, Devyn Michelli, Lauren LeBlanc; and great grandchildren – Logan Boudreaux, Carter Mae LeBlanc, Makayla Hall, Gabriel Hall, Gage Duplessis, Mayleigh Boudreaux, and Brennan Boudreaux. Other special family members include Tessie Trabeau. Known as “Uncle Nip”, he leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, he will be deeply missed. Pallbearers will be Paul’s grandsons - Spencer Boudreaux, Brandt Boudreaux, Billy Patty, Brandon Patty, Quinn Trabeau, and his godson, Corey Trabeaux. Services will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church on Monday, November 9, 2015. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Mausoleum.
