Robert "Bobby" Brock, 68, a native of Madison, Indiana, and resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Bobby was a graduate of East Ascension High School and dedicated 50 years to his career with Weber Marine, Inc. on the Mississippi River. Bobby enjoyed coaching youth sports for his sons and fishing, often spending time in Leeville, LA, going on father-son trips to the mountains canoeing, whitewater rafting, and Nascar races. He cherished his role as a grandfather, with his grandchildren playing a central part in his life. As an enthusiastic supporter of LSU sports, especially football, Bobby and Ramona loved to go to Tiger Stadium or an away game anytime they could and were fans of the New Orleans Saints. He loved to cook and share meals with family. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ramona Bercegeay Brock; daughter-in-law Brooke Covington Brock; sister, Barbara (Curtis) Braud; brothers Fred (Evelyn) Brock and Clarence "Bimbo" (Elinda) Brock; grandchildren Cade John Brock, Ryker Earl Brock, Jackson Laudun, Silas and Eli Fontenot, and Chloe Savoy; special niece Brooke Bercegeay; nephews Travis and Jeremy Brock, Curt Braud; nieces Melissa Braud Payne and Kimberly Braud; brothers and sisters-in-law Leon and Dolores Laiche, Michael and Lorraine Watts Bourgeois, Craig and Betty Poma. He is preceded in death by his beloved sons, Robby and Rory Brock; parents, Fred and Mae Brock; sister, Suzanne “Suzie” Brock; and several in-laws including father-in-law Earl Bercegeay Sr., mother-in-law Mildred Bercegeay Tanner, stepfather-in-law W. H. Tanner Jr., brother and sister-in-law Earl Jr. and Anita Bercegeay, brother-in-law Edwin (Pudgy) Watts, nephew Cade Poma, and great-nephew Infant Braxton Bercegeay. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA, on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory on Highway 30. Pallbearers honored to serve are Cade Brock, Jeremy Brock, Shane Laiche, Jeremy Bercegeay, Jared Poma, and Brock Neames.
