Robert "Robbie" Hunter Martin

Robert “Robbie” Hunter Martin, a native of Ascension Parish and resident of St. Amant died on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 8:03AM, at the age of 21 years. He was born on May 22, 2001 in Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his father, Robert “Bobby” Edward Martin, from Arkansas; his mother, Jolynda “Jodi” Gayl Franz Martin, from Texas; and his sister, Victoria Kalyn Martin, from Louisiana. He was a respectful son, protective brother, and grandson to loving grandparents. He truly loved the outdoors, looking for any and every reason to be outside. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastime. Baseball was his favorite sport and out on the diamond is where he will always be remembered by his friends. He loved the outdoors so much he chose to become a professional landscaper to spend all his time outside. He is also survived by his loving fiancé, Carly Jean Ann Ross, and were planning to be married in the near future. His love for outdoors and baseball were soon to be rivaled by the love of his first child, as he and Carly were expecting their first born in May. The baby’s gender has not yet been revealed. He was fantastic with children and would have made an incredible father and husband. He was loved so deeply by all that had the pleasure of knowing him, and has made a tremendous impact on all of his friends and family. Friends and family will forever continue to share smiles, laughs, love, stories, and memories. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, and the community. May he rest in peace. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA 70737 on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 2PM-6PM followed by a Celebration of Robbie’s Life at 6PM. Burial will be held at Whites Family Cemetery, 56030 Virgil White Ln., Loranger, LA 70446 on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
