Ruth "Mimi" Marie (Armstrong) Burnett

It is with great sorrow that we announce that our beloved Mimi, Ruth Marie Burnett has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her ex-husband, Gary Burnett. She was born in Ogden, Utah in October of 1945. She prided herself in having an amazing work ethic and creating lasting relationships. She was loved by all that she met and always left a place better than she found it. In her off time she enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking, baking, and making as many wonderful memories as possible. She truly devoted her life to her family and ensured that she passed along as much kindness and wisdom as she possibly could; living each and every day with a kind and thankful heart. Her greatest joys came from her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie is survived by her younger sister, Susan Levet and Susan’s four children; three daughters, and their families Marissa and Billy Ellis, Sarah and Daniel Goblowsky, Jody Burnett and Jared Bitzer, six grandchildren, Destiny Burnett (Seth Parker), Blake Ellis, Landri, Layton, Lynnon, and Savannah; two great grandchildren, Greyson and Gavin. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA 70737 on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4pm-7pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 7pm.
