
He was a Holsum Bread Routeman for 30+ years. He enjoyed cutting grass but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-laws, Rhonda and Kenny Collums and Roxanne and Brice Cranfield and son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Tonya Babin, all of Gonzales; five grandchildren, Jason Collums (Tiffany), Hunter Cranfield, Colby Cranfield (Claire), Kaitlyn Mendoza (Austin) and Angela Solar; three great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Michael and Misha Collums; and sister, Evelyn Standle (Jim) of Norfolk, VA; sister-in-law, Thelma Babin; brother-in-laws, Arthur Taillon and Glen "Butch" Braud (Sharon); and extended family; Cherry Braud and their two sons and daughter, Brandi and husband Todd Cox; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elphege and Julie Mire Babin; loving wife of 47 years, Amelia Braud Babin; brothers, Norwood and Raynauld Babin; sister, Connie Taillon; daughter-in-law, Betty LeBlanc Babin; dear friend, Wilfred "Will" Braud; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Maple and Irene Bourque Braud
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Fellowship Church on Hwy 73 from 10:00 am until the service time for 1:00 pm in Prairieville. Burial to follow at Cornerview Cemetery.
