

Timothy “Slick” Watts, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the age of 63 from a fearless battle against cancer. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Edwin “Abe” and Jewell Mae Watts; brother, Edwin “Pudgy” Watts; sister, Virginia “Ginnie” Watts; daughter, Ashton Ford; and father-in-law, Robert “Bobby” Legendre. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Roberta Legendre Watts; daughter, Jessie Watts; son, Taylor Ford (Bridgette); brother, Chris Watts (Barbara); sister, Suzy Watts (Butch); grandchildren, Louie Ford, Maron Ford and Aari Louis; and mother-in-law, Marion Legendre. Slick was a selfless husband and father who coached and followed Jessie’s passion for softball. He loved saltwater fishing and was an incredible ambidextrous athlete in every sport that he picked up. He played the Pistol Pete way and always found a way to look “slick” on the court and on the field. Tim always put the needs of others before his own. Slick vigorously loved and protected his family and he will forever be missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for him on Tuesday, Jul 11, 2023 at Ourso Funeral Home from 9 am to 12 pm. He expressed his wishes for a casual gathering so please come as you are. The floor will be open for anyone who wishes to share any memories or stories of Slick.
