

William “Willie What” Delatte Sr., a resident of Prairieville, LA passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 60 years. Willie was a former employee of Ascension Towing and Recovery, by trade he was a sandblaster, painter, carpenter, and musician. He was the creator of Peacemaker Band, and a drummer since the age of 5. Throughout the last 11 years, Willie and his band members loved to pay it forward to the community to assist families in need. Most of all he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his soul mate Kim Dixon Delatte and his dog, Peace, and cat, Socks. He is also survived by his son, William “Wet” Delatte Jr. (Kandace); stepson, Scott Stephens (Kathryn); Grandsons, Phillip Foster, and Brandon Foster; brother, Alvin Delatte Jr.; sisters, Jill Delatte (Tommy), and Patsy Liotto (Mike); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ted and Jodi Dixon, Kay and Ralph Turner and Dale Mullins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Catherine Delatte Sr.; sister, Linda Mullins; Sister-in-law, Debbie Delatte; and nephew, Morris Vicknair Jr. A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept 1, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales, La.
