

William Everett Dickens, Sr., passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the age of 81. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and a great friend to so many. Mr. Dickens will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He was a native of Moss Point, MS and a resident of Gonzales, LA. Everett was retired from the IBEW Union where he worked as an electrician for 55 years, U.S. Army veteran, a Mason and a Shriner. He was also a ham radio operator who loved motorcycle riding, camping and his poodle Buddy. As a born again Christian, Everett had a servant’s spirit always putting other’s needs before his own. He was an active member of Community Bible Fellowship Church. Survived by his wife Rosemary Allen Dickens; 2 daughters, Donna Dickens Vest and Annette Dickens Millet; 2 sons, William Dickens, Jr. “Bubba” and John Dickens; 1 brother, Charles Dickens; 9 grandchildren, Casey Millet, Caleb Millet, Colin Millet, Bethany Vest Guidry, Adam Vest, Julia Vest Guzman, Daniel Dickens, Rachel Dickens and Sarah Lawson; 7 great-grandchildren, Gavin Vest, Ezra Guzman, Chloe Guidry, Wyatt Guidry, Emma Dickens, Jayden Dickens and Everlee Millet. Preceded in death by his mother, Ina Mae Dickens; father, Henry Preston Dickens and 2 brothers, John R. Dickens and Preston Sherman Dickens. Visitation will be at Community Bible Fellowship Church on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 9AM until service at 11AM, celebrant Brother Mike Robertson. Interment will follow at Faithful Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to Community Bible Fellowship Church.
