

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at the St. James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas with Deacon Alfonso Moreno officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 5:00 pm on Monday, February 4, 2013, and Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 9:00 – 9:00 pm.
Juanita was born on May 6, 1931 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of Belen and Petra (Rivera) DeLeon, Sr. Juanita married Francisco M. Ramirez on September 21, 1952 in Gonzales, Texas. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas. Juanita enjoyed taking care of her flowers and garden. She liked to read when she wasn’t listening and dancing to Spanish Music. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Juanita liked to draw and color when she could find the time. When Juanita’s health prevented her from caring for her flowers, she would watch TV and listen to music to pass the time.
She is survived by three sons; Frank Ramirez, Jr. and his wife, Catherine Rodriguez of Gonzales, Texas, Victor Ramirez of Gonzales, Texas, Joe Ramirez, Sr. of Gonzales, Texas, two daughters; Patsy Hernandez of Gonzales, Texas, Josie Rodriguez of Caldwell, Texas, two brothers; Belen DeLeon Jr. and his wife, Milda of Gonzales, Texas, Sisto DeLeon, Sr. and his wife, Frances of Victoria, Texas, one sister; Amelia Segura of Gonzales, Texas, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Belen and Petra DeLeon, Sr., her husband; Francisco Ramirez, one son; Antonio Ramirez, and one son-in-law; Reynaldo Rodriguez.
